Local Authority Building Control (LABC)

What does it mean for us?

After we've finished working on a building site the LABC's team of surveyors and technical staff will inspect our work to ensure it meets all building regulations. Constuctionline

Constuctionline

What is it?

Constructionline is the UK's largest procurement and supply chain management service for the construction industry. It is used by buyers of construction services and helps save time by listing pre-qualified construction contractors who are fit to supply.

What does it mean for us?

It reduces duplication at the pre-qualification stage when tendering for contracts because we don't have to keep filling in standard information each time we submit an application. It means we're deemed fit to work with large contractors like Kier, Seddon and Sir Robert McAlpine as well as private sector organisations, central government departments, councils, NHS Trusts, housing associations, universities and colleges.

What does it mean for you?

It offers you the assurance that we have met Constructionline's rigorous PAS 91 aligned assessment process. Buyers can save a lot of time by using the database to find certified suppliers, like us, that meet their project requirements.

Exor

Exor

What is it?

Exor validation simplifies the pre-qualification process (or PQQ) for public sector buyers, reducing the need to complete numerous assessment forms. As a member we have proven we have the credentials to meet the highest of standards, which includes PAS91 compliance. PAS91 is the UK government's recognised pre-qualification question set for construction procurement.

What does it mean for us?

To obtain validation construction firms like ours must be able to demonstrate government procurement standards in five core disciplines: finance, safety, environmental, quality and social value. Our successful validation shows that we have met this criterion, and have the capability to undertake public sector work for both public and private sector clients.

What does it mean for you?

It means you can consider us, whether you are a public sector procurement client or a main contractor looking for subcontractors who have been pre-qualified. It means saving time vetting suppliers, assessing and re-assessing pre-qualification documents and maintaining approved lists. It helps you manage the risks associated with a supply base effortlessly and effectively and highlights construction firms that adequately satisfy audit requirements and comply with current legislation and regulations.

HSE

What is it?

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2016, sometimes referred to as CDM, is a set of legal guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Executive to maintain safety in the construction industry. It was launched 40 years ago and is responsible for regulating health and safety in Britain's workplaces.

What does it mean for us?

We have the expertise to properly plan, manage, monitor and coordinate all health and safety risks at every phase of your domestic or commercial project. We only undertake work that we have the skills, knowledge, experience, training and organisational capability to do without risk to your health and the health of workers. Our investment in CDM helps Atlantic Builders embed health and safety as part of our building design.

What does it mean for you?

Peace of mind that your home or workplace will be kept safe at every phase of the construction work we do on your behalf. It will be left safe for you to enjoy long after we've completed it. We'll consider the structural safety of your building during any alterations or demolitions as well as the structural soundness of new extensions and conversions we build. We will check for electrical, water and fire safety and ensure the safe use of equipment such as ladders and scaffolds. These standards and requirements include checks to ensure we meet health and safety legislation, that we have the competence to carry out construction work and that the way we conduct business is of a high standard.

What does it mean for you?
